How it works

We connect it and walk you through it

Every installation includes Wi-Fi pairing and a live app walkthrough on your phone. We don't leave until you can lock the door, check the feed, and change the thermostat schedule yourself.

1

You order the device

Purchase from Amazon, Best Buy, or the manufacturer — no retail markup from us.

2

We install and pair

Mounted, wired where needed, and connected to your home Wi-Fi.

3

App walkthrough

Set up on your phone together — locks, feeds, schedules, and sharing access with family.

4

Test and hand off

Every device triggered, viewed, locked, and unlocked with you watching before we call it done.

Our standards

Every install includes

Wi-Fi pairing

Connected to your network and verified working on your phone before we leave.

App setup

Installed, logged in, and walked through live — included at no extra charge.

C-wire check

Fan-coil and C-wire compatibility assessed before any thermostat comes off the wall.

No subscriptions

We install what you own. No monitoring contracts, no upsell at the door.

Tidy finish

Cables routed clean, packaging hauled out, and the work area wiped down.

Before you buy

Wi-Fi direct, or hub-based?

The most common question before ordering. Both work well — here's how to pick honestly, before you spend a dollar on hardware.

Rule of thumb

Count the devices you'll own in a year — not just today

1–5 devices — Wi-Fi direct is all you need

6+ — a hub starts paying for itself

Wi-Fi direct

Simplest start

  • Device talks straight to your router — no extra box to buy
  • Perfect for 1–5 devices: a lock, doorbell, and thermostat
  • Each brand's own app works out of the box
  • Can crowd a busy condo network as you keep adding devices

Hub-based

Built to grow

  • Devices mesh through a hub (Zigbee, Z-Wave, Thread) — zero Wi-Fi congestion
  • One app controls every brand in the house
  • Battery sensors last far longer on a mesh
  • The right call past ~6 devices or for whole-home setups

Not sure which side you're on? Tell us what you want the house to do and we'll send back a shopping list — it's part of the free estimate.

Common questions

Smart home questions

Do you connect the device to my Wi-Fi and walk me through the app?

Yes — every install includes Wi-Fi pairing, app setup on your phone, and a walkthrough so you know how to use it. We don't leave until you're comfortable.

Do you sell the devices?

We're an installation service, not a retailer. You purchase the device (from Amazon, Best Buy, or the manufacturer) and we install it. This keeps your costs lower since you're not paying retail markup on hardware.

Can you install a smart thermostat in my condo?

In most cases yes, but it depends on your HVAC setup. Many Miami condos use fan-coil units that require a C-wire adapter. We assess this before starting and will let you know if any adapter is needed.

Can smart locks work without Wi-Fi?

Yes. Most smart locks (August, Yale, Schlage) use Bluetooth by default and can be operated offline. Wi-Fi or a hub is required for remote access and automation features.

How long does a typical smart home install take?

A single device (doorbell, thermostat, or lock) takes 45–90 minutes including app setup. A package of 3–5 devices typically takes 3–4 hours.
